I decided to serve as your legislator in the 18th District because under Democratic leadership in the governor’s office and the Legislature, we’ve seen higher taxes, rising crime in our communities, unacceptable educational outcomes, and increased financial burdens for small businesses and families. I know we can do better, which is why I continue working to make our state a better place to live and raise a family.

As the daughter of a 31-year police detective, I also understand the importance of public safety. I support the men and women of law enforcement who work tirelessly to keep us safe. I continue working to improve public safety through closer coordination with local agencies.

As a former small business owner, I also support pro-business legislation to strengthen our business climate by reducing obstacles for small businesses and encouraging job creation. I also support better educational outcomes by prioritizing student achievement and workforce readiness.

My Priorities

Providing meaningful solutions to make life affordable

The majority party in the Legislature continues to make life more expensive for everyone in Washington, including passing the largest tax increase in state history in 2025 and then pushing through a new state income tax in 2026. The majority party continues to ignore the ongoing affordability challenges facing Washington families. From housing and energy to groceries and transportation, costs continue to rise, and many households are feeling the strain. At the same time, state tax collections have remained strong, but state government continues to overspend and give almost nothing back to the taxpayers. In contrast, House Republicans continue to offer real solutions to provide significant tax relief, lower the cost of living, and improve affordability.

Making public safety a priority

Public safety should be a top priority of state government, but crime is out of control in many places in our state. I continue working with local law enforcement agencies and introducing legislation to improve public safety and make our neighborhoods and communities safe for everyone. We must support law enforcement, not make life easier for criminals. Republicans continue to make public safety a top priority.

Empowering students and parents to improve educational outcomes

There are many excellent teachers and schools in our district and throughout Washington. However, students continue to underperform and tests results are not acceptable. As our children work to improve academically, it’s important for parents to know what is happening in their classrooms and how they can help. As parents, we deserve and should be able to expect transparency. The Legislature must do its part in empowering parents and their kids to achieve the best educational outcomes. I support better educational outcomes by prioritizing student achievement and workforce readiness.

Supporting business growth and economic success in Washington

Majority party Democrats continue to pass legislation that hurts businesses in Washington. Conversely, Republican efforts focus on limiting costs on employers and making the cost of doing business more affordable. I support policies to reduce regulatory burdens, expand small-business tax relief, and improve workforce and infrastructure investments. We need to create a more predictable, lower-cost business climate to encourage job growth and keep employers from leaving the state.
