Dear Friends and Neighbors,

It’s hard to believe two months have already passed since the 2024 legislative session concluded on March 7. Although, I have not been in Olympia much these last two months, I have been busy representing you in the 18th District.

A lot happened during the 2024 legislative session and you can get an in-depth recap of some of the biggest stories by reading my 2024 session recap update. You can also read my end-of-session newsletter by clicking here.

As with any session, this one had some positive outcomes, but there were also some missed opportunities. That means the many pressing issues facing our state still need to be addressed, including fixing:

Click here for a full recap. As your representative, during the interim I’ll be focused on these and other important issues and working hard to make our state a better place for everyone.

We must work together to find real solutions for these issues as we work to fix Washington.

Election-year restrictions

This is an election year, which means beginning on May 6, I will not be able to send you email updates until after the November general election results are certified. In fact, due to election-year restrictions, all my legislative communications will be limited or restricted over the next six months in compliance with state ethics laws, unless a special session is called.

However, that does not mean we can’t communicate. I am still your full-time state representative and can respond to constituents who contact me throughout the year. So, please continue reaching out via email, phone, a letter, or setting up an in-person meeting. As always, I will respond as quickly as I can.
